Walmart Applications

With a new store opening up in Chesterfield, VA this summer, Walmart careers are available as we speak.

The new store has yet to hire over 200 people and they’ve set up a center for hiring in Midlothian at: 6717 Lake Harbour Drive.  Walmart will accept Walmart applications during weekday hours from 8AM to 5PM, and on Sat. and Sun. from 10AM to 2PM.

It is reported that applicants can also fill ot an online application but it is recommended that you appear in person to apply.

Walmart offers full and part-time employees excellent benefits which include a 401k plan, bonuses, store discounts, and life insurance.

When hired as an associate for this store, your duties will probably include helping them stock shelves in preparation for the grand opening.

Here’s a way to apply giving you the best chance possible at landing a job at this giant retail store:

1.  Use any and all connections you have in your network of friends and family.  Any company is more likely to hire someone they either know, or someone who comes recommended highly from one of their employees because there is substantially less risk.

Use that connection to get introduced to someone important such as the manager or assistant manager at the store you’re hoping to work for, and dress neatly and appropriately.

Express a sincere desire to work for and advance within the company, and don’t be afraid to ask how to apply.

2.  If you don’t know someone in the company, find out where the Walmart applications at the store’s kiosk are and fill one out, but first, visit the human resources department at the store.

Again, dress neatly and  introduce yourself as someone desiring a position within the company.  Try to be as professional as possible and don’t act desperate; what you’re aiming for is for them to want you because of your qualifications or potential, not the other way around.  Search for other retail jobs at Job.com.
