Walmart Applications – 2 Steps To Get Hired Quickly

June 12th, 2009 Comments off

The Walmart applications process can be frustrating just like applying anywhere else, but there are a few things you can do to increase your chances of getting hired.

To begin with, most people simply fill out Walmart applications hoping to get a call back promptly.  While this may work for some, most people end up waiting impatiently by the phone wondering why no one has called them 2 months after submitting Walmart applications.

How to Make Your Walmart Applications Stand Out

Here’s a way to apply giving you the best chance possible at landing a job at this giant retail store:

1.  Use any and all connections you have in your network of friends and family.  Any company is more likely to hire someone they either know, or someone who comes recommended highly from one of their employees because there is substantially less risk.

Use that connection to get introduced to someone important such as the manager or assistant manager at the store you’re hoping to work for, and dress neatly and appropriately. Remember, many people fill out Walmart applications just like you everyday so you have to stand out.

Express a sincere desire to work for and advance within the company, and don’t be afraid to ask how to apply.

2.  If you don’t know someone in the company, find out where the Walmart applications at the store’s kiosk are and fill one out, but first, visit the human resources department at the store.

Again, dress neatly and  introduce yourself as someone desiring a position within the company.  Try to be as professional as possible and don’t act desperate; what you’re aiming for is for them to want you because of your qualifications or potential, not the other way around.

Finally, inform them you will be filling out an application and look forward to hearing from them for an interview.  By using this method there is no doubt you will definitely have the best chance to take your Walmart applications all the way to landing jobs quickly.

Walmart applications have been making many people successful for years.Even in a slumping economy, Walmart applications are the best choice if you’re looking to apply for a retail position.  While most stores are struggling to sell clothing off their shelves, this retail giant has continued to prosper.

With plans to hire over 20,000 employees this year alone, Walmart applications in stores around your area are yours for the taking.

Walmart Applications Are A Chance To Have Success

There are many reasons for Walmart’s success including being able to keep overhead costs to a minimum, selling much lower-priced prescription, generic drugs through their pharmacies, and a new health insurance program which currently covers 94% of its employees, including part-timers. All of these benefits and more are what makes Walmart applications most attractive.

Walmart stocks profits tumbled slightly during the first quarter of 2009 as expected, but not nearly as much as other retail store chains.  The company has also updated and added much new merchandise, easily attracting frugal customers looking for bargains on every day needs.

What does all this mean for someone looking for a job or long-term career in the retail industry?  It means Walmart applications are an excellent, secure investment in anyone’s future.  Even if it takes a few years to come out of our present recession, or if we were to suffer another recession in the future, chances are your job will be safe from layoffs. While everybody is struggling and making long lines at the unemployment office you will likely be in air-conditioned comfort working hard and having fun at Walmart.

You can visit the store of your choice and use the kiosk to apply inside the store or you can simply visit their website and fill out Walmart applications at: http://walmartstores.com/Careers/
